Item Description
19.5x29.25" paper poster for c. early 1900s traveling show based on the exploits of the American outlaw, gang leader, bank/train robber, murderer and the most famous member of the James-Younger Gang. Already a celebrity while alive, he became a legendary figure of the Wild West after his death, as evidenced by this show. Printed by The Donaldson Litho Co., poster has a nice outdoors scene w/portrait images of "Jesse James" and "Edith Forrest" w/images of rifles, revolver and ammunition gracing bottom corners, the right having chest filled w/bags of money. Lightly aged, margins show some wear, with a few .5-.75" tears which could be easily matted out for an Exc. display.
