Item Description
23.5x32” gold accent wood frame has double archival mat w/16.5x22.25” opening revealing nine panel original art page w/hand drawn and hand lettered logo. Titled “Dimples She Visits An Artist And Paints Her Dolly Picture By Grace G. Drayton.” Just beneath is 1914 Grace Drayton copyright sticker. Left side has art of Dolly sketching copyright “1913 GG Drayton”, right side has her crying. Story line has Dolly and her mother (Grace Drayton) visiting French artist's portrait studio. Dolly decides she’s going to “paint pickshers too” and winds up chasing a cat and almost wrecking the studio. Last panel is signed in ink “GG Drayton 1913.” Logo and all panels are neatly cut out and applied thin art boards as done by the artist, otherwise bright and Exc. One of the nicest Drayton originals we’ve ever seen, hand colored and signed three times by the creator of the Campbell’s Soup Kids.
