Item Description
WWII. 7x10x2.25” deep illustrated thin cardboard box has top image of four service men looking across at generic pulp magazines with space for address at lower right. Underside has similar scene, but has large text “Hours Of Entertainment For Service Men.” Front and back panels have men w/pulps. Box has scattered lt. wear w/ lt. creasing and color rubs, loose flaps. Top has cellophane tape strip at left. Good. Box contains five pulps: Nov.1942 “Famous Fantastic Mysteries”, Dec.1942 “Western Action”, March 1942 “Ideal Love”, Spring 1942 “Sports Action”, June 1942 “Complete Cowboy”. Pulps are Good/VG. Box is rare due to it’s fragile nature and the fact that most were simply discarded after being received. Interesting item for the pulp completist . First we’ve seen in our 46 years.
