Item Description
Hake #3013, the only example from 1900 shown in the Hake Guide. 34" long wooden handle with approx. 37.5" dia. fabric umbrella. Has repeated large portraits of McKinley and Roosevelt, with their names printed below and American flag images. Cloth has even, all over dust soiling. Fabric is loose at top of the shaft with one vertical 3" split and a 1" split on a seam. Three umbrella "spokes" have come loose from the fabric at the outer tips. A small wire in wooden shaft that is designed to pop out and hold umbrella up while deployed is missing. Umbrella still opens for display. Good. Quite rare and seldom found in better condition. The 2004 Hake Guide value is $750. This example has a modest opening.
