Item Description
These are 11.5x17" or a little smaller with 12 pages or more. All have some age but largely limited to small edge tears. Early issues are filled with topical illustrations and small advertisements. Photos begin around 1898. Dates and primary features with any larger condition defects as follow: 7/29/65 cover scene of plantation owner saying "Which Is The Merchant Here And Which The Jew?" with illustration titled "The Great Labor Question From A Southern Point Of View." 3/31/77 cover about one half split on spine. Shows "The Cabinet." Interior full page illustrations of Brooklyn Bridge under construction. 10/6/77 Uncle Sam cover. Interior full page on "Twelve Apostles Of The Mormon Church." Includes Smith and Young. 5/31/79 Thomas Nast cover on race theme. One sign reads "No More Ku-Klux Campaigns." Also Nast interior full page on CSA/USA And Equal Rights. 7/23/81 Garfield "Still Lives" center has double spread by Nast of Liberty mourning. 3/11/93 Colombian Expo. 1" edge tear all pages. 7/15/93 "Inside A Treasury Vault." Top and right margins moisture stain. 7/4/96 "Gold" theme on fireworks. Spine splits. 10/24/96 death of Garfield's assassin with much anti-Bryan text. Three pages on Princeton with many photos including Wilson. 9/17/98 Dewey in Olympia's cabin. Loose covers and piece off front margin. 9/24/98 TR photo cover. Much war info/photos. 11/4/99 Bryan on democratic donkey. Double page night concept of upcoming Buffalo expo grounds. 8/5/99 Uncle Sam & China "The Open Door." Three full pages of yacht Columbia illustrations. 10/7/99 two copies of "Dewey Supplement" with many NYC photos and art. 3/8/13 "Inauguration Number" with Uncle Sam greeting Wilson to White House.
