Item Description
First is 2.25x4" pink stiff card which has small rust line upper right caused by reverse of the button that was once slipped over the corner. In addition to printed text card has typewritten "Complimentary/Corine Wells." Text proclaims she is "A Recognized Charter Member Of The Elvis Presley National Fan Club With Headquarters At P.O. Box 417, Madison, Tennessee." The expiration date is blank but the additional text notes "Originated March 30, 1956." Bottom edge reads "National Director: Charlie Lamb." With the card comes 1" rarely seen celluloid button. Reverse has couple of pinpoint cello splits along the collet but causing no problem. Pink color has very slightly faded with just the slightest hint of a couple pale gray spots but still displaying VF. Center has Elvis photo matching that on the card and reads "Elvis Presley National Fan Club/Member." Only the second example we've seen of each item. Rare and much more so than the RCA sponsored club buttons in cello or litho.
