Item Description
Upton Sinclair, famous "muckraker" author, had a platform known as EPIC (End Poverty In California) and received the Democratic nomination for governor in 1934. This 3x6.25" satirical "One Carrott" bill was issued by his opponent Frank Merrian who won the election. The art pokes fun at the concept of using script instead of money and includes title "The Disorganized State Of Sinclaria." Pinpoint hole in margin. NM. Morry Greener Collection.
