Item Description
Each is c. 1920s tin litho. Valentino tin is 5" dia. 1.25" deep size variety issued as part of a series with art by Henry Clive. Underside has relief maker text "Beautebox/Canco". Scattered lt. wear with a few shallow dents around lid top. Fine. Other tin is 4.25x6-5/8x3-3/8" deep with nice photo of French actress/entertainer Mistinguett. Tin is made in Paris. Lid top has small crimp at upper right corner and at bottom edge, a few pinpoint dots of missing color and a few lt. scratches around sides. Fine. Mistinguett started career in shows such as Folies Bergere and later had 40 year movie career in French film industry. Box held lace crepes and lid translates to "The Favorite Of Mistinguett". Both are nicely detailed.
