Item Description
This item is pictured as premium #23 in a four page brochure sent by Cream of Wheat only to Solar Scouts with the rank of Chief Explorer. See Hake Guide BRG-78 (2008 Edition). Item was designed and produced by Hayden Planetarium with their name and $1.00 price on the reverse of "The Star Explorer" a 8.75" square die-cut, multi-layered stiff cardboard device for studying the constellations. The order form offering the item lists cost as 20 cents and 1 green Cream of Wheat triangle coupon. The ordering address was "Buck Rogers Supply Depot, Minneapolis, Minn." The text promoting the premium reads: "Adjustable chart of the heavens, designed by an outstanding planetarium. Exactly reproduces the position of all the important stars at any time of the year. Just the thing for plotting the course of an expedition beyond the solar system. In blue and white cardboard." Tiny corner creases. Clean and NM. Only our second we've offered in our 45 years. Rare.
