Item Description
15" tall. From 1938. Multiple size/style dolls were produced that year by not only Ideal, but also Knickerbocker and Krueger (see following lots 2544-2546). Ideal made this larger size doll in two versions, this is stuffed with oil cloth head and arms, while the other version has composition head/arms. Both came in this same style dress which is cotton with silk-screened images of of the dwarfs along with their names, forest animals and cottage facade. Outfit is very nice quality and complete including leatherette shoes that have metal buckles. Face has detailed painted features and doll has life-like hair. Small trace of wear to face, arms have more moderate wear/aging. Outfit shows only the slightest trace of aging and remains very clean and with strong images. Overall still a VF example of the rare doll. From the Tomart Archives and comes with COA signed by Tom Tumbusch and Ted Hake.
