Item Description
8.25x9-7/8” publicity photo showing Bill Haley in 1946 with his western swing band The Down Homers. Signed in red ink “Best Wishes Bill Haley” with band members Shorty Cook, Guy Campbell and Lloyd Cornell signing in blue ink, Cook adding “Lots Of Luck” and Campbell adding “Good Luck.” Bob Mason has signed in dark blue ink, adding “Sincerely.” All are depicted wearing cowboy hats and gaudy western shirts, posing with their instruments in front of a radio microphone and band name has been inked below photo image. Has some handling wear at corners and pinholes along top left and center margin, though only Mason’s signature is slightly affected. Fine+. Second 8x10” publicity photo features “The Down Homers” without Haley and has been signed by Guy Campbell, Shorty Cook, Rocky Coxx in blue ink and Slim Coxx and Rusty Rogers in purple. Has obvious wear with numerous cracks to emulsion on surface and .25” chip to upper margin. VG. Signatures remain bold and VF. Comes with Hake’s COA.
