Item Description
22x22” un-cut sheet of 4 first and only printing stiff paper posters for St. Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, 1968 concert at the Carousel Ballroom that featured The Grateful Dead, Country Joe & The Fish with lights by Light Sound Dimension (LSD). Neat Valentine’s Day-theme design by Stanley Mouse features old-time Valentine card design with hearts around borders, flying cupid by vintage photo of young man encircled in heart. Tiny text at bottom of poster reads “Stick To Weed It’s Safe.” Poster has been folded once vertically with some pinch creases along fold, o/w Exc. Individual posters are scarce, our last selling for $633. Only a few of these un-cut sheets are known and in Mar. 2010 one other example sold at auction for $3,422. A true Dead rarity.
