Item Description
Bongo is made of a brown textured material coming quite close to resembling bear fur. He is accented by pillbox-style corduroy hat and matching red corduroy jacket plus a small blue bow at his neck. Underside of the feet are yellow felt pads. His eyes are oilcloth. Light general overall wear but extremely Fine condition with no serious defects or wear. His companion Lulubelle stands 13” tall. She is made of the same material but does have about .5” dia. loss of that material above the right eye and 3 spots each about .25” above the left eye. In addition, there are two .25” dots of material from the lower left edge where her nose material meets the material of the head but these really don’t show at all from the front. On the opposite right side there are a pair of 1/8” dots of missing material that do show a little. Her yellow felt flower remains fully intact. She wears a ruffled blue fabric skirt a little faded but not really noticeable unless compared to the color on the underside. Like Bongo, she has dark yellow pads under her feet. The only examples of these characters we’ve seen by Charlotte Clark. Comes with notarized statement and Hake’s COA. See item #2200 for details. Unique, hand-crafted pair.
