Item Description
See lot #2200 for a history of these dolls and description of notarized statement. Donald is done on a very large scale standing 16” tall with large flat feet and with a lower body section a full 6” deep from the front of his tummy to the back of his tail which is comprised of 3 separate plush loops representing feathers. The white areas of his body are all in plush and while there is dustiness, it is primarily on the back lower body of Donald rather than the front head area. He is complete with oilcloth eyes, black fabric bow tie and 4 pearlized buttons. The blue corduroy is faded but only most noticeable by comparing the color to the underside of his hat edge or underarm fabric. The yellow legs and feet are a fine grained fabric while the underside of the feet are yellow felt and these have 6 holes or partial holes but only 1/16” to .25” in dia. and not visible unless the figure is turned over. His legs are very stiff and he stands upright easily although his head wants to tilt forward due to the relatively thin neck. We believe this is the largest Charlotte Clark Donald we have ever seen and he is actually rarer than Mickeys and Minnies of the same size. Comes with notarized statement and Hake’s COA. See item #2200 for details. A unique, hand-crafted doll in Fine to VF complete condition.
