c. 1920. 9.5x12.25” envelope with large “Base Ball Game” text on front contains 8.75x11-5/8”, 4-page stiff paper folder. Cartoon image on front shows young boy in worn clothes smiling at plate with bat. Folder opens to reveal gameboard with matching text chart. Back cover has printed rules. Made by Walter Johnston Pittsburgh, Pa. with price of $1.00. Contains complete set of 3 tiny die along with 16 of 18 colored stiff paper chits to be used as players on gameboard. Envelope is worn around all sides with tiny margin tears and missing pieces. Tanned with age. Gameboard has barely noticeable small shallow dent near bottom, back cover has lt. margin edge tanning. Near Exc. appearance. Nicely designed.
