Item Description
4.25x5.5” card stock folder opens to reveal decoder used to de-code “Superman’s Secret Message” in each issue of “Action Comics.” c. 1943. Similar to one issued in Supermen of America Club Kit, this variety was given away at movie theaters as indicated on the front cover stating “Motion Picture Membership.” Front of folder also has iconic image of Superman breaking chains. Back of folder has listing/images of DC Comics comic book titles including – “Action Comics, Superman, Detective Comics, Batman, World’s Finest Comics, All-Star Comics, Star Spangled Comics, All-American Comics, Green Lantern, Flash Comics, All-Flash Quarterly, Adventure Comics, More Fun Comics, Sensation Comics.” Pictured with these title logos are tiny images of Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, The Flash, The Spectre and Starman. Folder shows some aging with .25” area of moisture staining on front. Inside has some penciling by code but Fine+ overall. Scarce and one of the few we’ve offered in our 44 years.
