Item Description
A number of different styles of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs dolls were made by Knickerbocker, Ideal and Kruger between 1938 and 1940. These are among the nicest of any made and have painted composition bodies and nice quality fabric outfits. All have movable arms, Snow White also has movable head. Snow White stands 15” tall while the Dwarfs are each 9” tall to tops of heads, total of about 11” tall with hats fully extended. Snow White wears dress of mostly silk-like material with velveteen top that has embroidered accent around neck. Has separate socks and leatherette shoes with snaps, one complete with metal buckle accent , the other missing the buckle. Each Dwarf has velveteen outfit plus separate leatherette belt (in 2 styles as made). Each has name on front edge of hat. Doc has separate leatherette glasses. White life-like beards. All 8 are complete with matching 2” dia. cardboard string tag picturing the Dwarf dolls on the front, backs read “America’s Premiere Line Of Stuffed Toys Walt Disney’s Mickey Mouse And Donald Duck” along with Knickerbocker address. As is typical, outfits have lt. trace of aging and/or some degree of fading that varies from doll to doll but nothing serious and as to be expected. Composition shows very little wear and remains about as nice as can be found. Lt. wear/aging to cardboard tags, few with lt. crease. Overall still a VF set. Nicest set we’ve offered in our 44 years and rarely offered as a set in any condition.
