Item Description
9x12.75x1" deep box contains complete and unused parts for Peter Pan series English game. Game has 1929 King Features Syndicate Inc. copyright but is c. 1930s. Box lid has nice image of Popeye standing beside steaming bowl which can only contain spinach. Wear at edges and corners, one corner split but Fine. Game consists of 12x12" thin cardboard playing board which has images at corner of Popeye, Wimpy, Olive Oyl and Olive's brother Castor. "Spinach" goal is at center. Board has typical warp o/w Exc. 2.5x12" thin cardboard strip contains 16 player discs, each .75" dia. featuring either Popeye, Castor, Wimpy or Olive's faces w/text "Who Gets The Spinach?" below. These remain unpunched and Exc. Rare, especially in this choice condition.
