Item Description
1.75" shows the son of Chief White Eagle. Horse Chief Eagle became the last hereditary Chief of the Ponca tribe. We believe this button and two other similar we've seen before relate to an event on the 101 Ranch in Bliss, Oklahoma held June 11, 1905. The history of this amazing event can be found on the internet. The favorable publicity following the event catapulted the 101 Ranch into the forefront of entertainment spectaculars. Reverse has covered metal back with stamp of St. Louis Button Co. Vertical stickpin fastener. Only the second we've seen and Rare. See next 101 Ranch tape measure and "101 Radio Club" button #1184.
