Item Description
Ring top has 4 brass prongs holding convex plastic cover over real bw photo without dot pattern of Richard Coogan in his role as Captain Video. He is depicted holding a large space gun. Ring is c. 1950 from Power House Candy. Ring base is brass with adjustable bands typically with dull finish. This example, having been kept boxed is as close to Mint as possible. At any rate, best we can recall. Some areas with rainbow patina. Folder is twice folded as packaged plus small age tone and .25" margin tear. "Power House" return address and sent to Illinois. Tiny address rub and box with creases but near Fine and Rare. On reverse, the instruction sheet suggests how to use ring as a club password and "For Taking The Enemy By Surprise." Front sheet text within cloud bubble reads "The Guardian Of Law And Order - Captain Video himself - snapped in action with his Space Ray gun! Pictured at his mountain retreat, where he keeps in touch with secret agents at all points of the globe!" Historic television space program premium.
