Item Description
Marx produced a number of different Davy/Alamo playsets, this is No. 3539. c. 1955. Box has scattered trace of wear with some long but light creases. Lid has tiny scattered pinpoint light paint dots really only noticeable when viewed closely. Tight and Fine. Near complete set. Missing just 2 of the 18 wall pegs and just 3 of the 10 shells for cannon. Set includes Davy Crockett figure, 10 Mexicans and 20 pioneers plus nicely detailed tin litho building and wall sections. The instruction sheet, 8x10" Fess Parker photo and Alamo story booklet are all photocopied replacements. Original bags remain. The building was once assembled and has scattered wear. Other tin pieces show light paint wear with some scattered paint nicks/scratches. Fine/VF. Figures and accessories are Exc.
