Item Description
Complete set of 5 bisque figurines with movable arms made in Germany and distributed by Strobel and Wilken Co. of New York and Chicago. Featured in "Playthings" trade publication in May, 1914 (we provide a photocopy of this ad along with bisques). Set includes - Little Nemo (4-7/8"), Princess (5.25"), Flip (4.5"), Doctor Pill (4-5/8") and Imp (5"). We believe 4 of the 5 have been re-strung. Tiny hairline stress line to top of Nemo's plumed hat as produced. Only noticeable when viewed from top. Flip has tiny shallow indent at mouth that once held small cigar. Unfortunately, this cigar is now missing. Underside of Flip has original inscription "Mabel From Billy B. Portland Oreg. 6/23/14." Exc./N. Mint. These are the rarest character bisques and this is the only known complete set of original bisques. A unique opportunity to obtain "Holy Grail" of Little Nemo merchandise. From the Gary Selmonsky Collection.
