Item Description
5x8x2.5" deep box contains 7.75" long painted tin gun by Austin Manufacturing Co. c. 1950s. Box also includes original advertising flier which has been folded once vertically and once horizontally as packaged. Gun shoots two celluloid balls by a rather unique method. 2.25" tall metal can is labeled "Austin Magic Crystals" and at one point contained powder than when mixed with water in back chamber of gun produced a gas which was ignited by spark produced from trigger being pulled. This then led to balls being propelled from futuristic designed barrel. Gun has some handling wear resulting in some tiny paint flakes along combustion chamber with a small dent most visible in reflected light. VF/Exc. "Crystals" canister has oxidation along rim and is VG/Fine. Box has noticeable wear along right-hand panel with creases and tears. VG. Rare and first we've ever offered.
