Item Description
Lot of 5 issued by Chemi-Plastic of Los Angeles, CA ©1949 Bob Clampett. Cecil is all vinyl with painted accents. Small scattered traces of paint wear. VF. The other 4 have vinyl heads and fabric bodies including felt hands. Beany has life-like hair and felt beanie plus neckerchief. Attached to beanie is propeller which consists of plastic disk with bar pin and four cello blades which show wear with some edge chips. Body shows moderate all over aging. Fine. Dishonest John is missing neckerchief and felt hat. White felt hands aged, head noticeable aging and scattered color rubs. VG. Wong is complete with neckerchief and chef’s hat. White body noticeably aged and chest area has three fabric pulls/splits .5” to 1” in length. Hat still attached to head by original staple on back but has pulled loose from front staple. Head noticeably aged. VG. Hunny Bear has all over moderate aging of fabric body, light aging to head. One felt hand has .5” tear. Fine. All are Rare and Wong/Hunny Bear are the first we’ve ever offered. From the Andy Levison Collection.
