Item Description
20" tall c. 1938. 3" dia. two-sided tag has back reading "The Lone Ranger And Tonto/Manufactured By Dollcraft Novelty Co. Sole Licensees New York City." .5" tear, lt. age. Tag remains attached to belt buckle. Fine. Doll w/composition head/hands. Minor splits behind ears and down neck, pin dot paint loss on nose tip, not offensive. Nicely detailed eyes. Comes w/headband w/real 3" feather attached. Metal accents on holster and knife sheath. Holster holds original issue 3.25" long cast metal w/nickel finish "Big Chief" single-shot cap gun (unused). Also comes w/hard rubber knife as issued. Bottom of each pants leg has image of Tonto w/text above and below. Suede-like shirt and pants have hardened and show various cracks noticeable under close inspection. Simulated deer skin moccasins w/shoe laces. Doll stands upright for display. VF appearance.
