7x10" paper sheets w/copy of art for Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 1 #1 (Marvel, March 1983) featuring first appearance of Hobgoblin by John Romita Sr. and Jr. that are hand-colored as color guides. Complete 22 story pages, no cover. Late Bronze Age storyline "Shadows Of Evil Past" by Roger Stern with art by John Romita Sr. and Jr. Of note, Bob Sharen crossed out as colorist on credit line of first page. Color artist on issue was Andy Yanchus. Paper pages w/"Amazing Spider-Man" stamped at top and "#238" written at top and marked up w/color break notations. Lt. aging/handling wear and overall clean. Includes original envelope w/note in pen. Overall displays VF. An historic issue to be sure and key piece of Andy Yanchus' career. From The Archives of Colorist Andy Yanchus.
