Item Description
Elfquest is a Fantasy comic book property created by Wendy and Richard Pini in 1978. Over the years, Elfquest has been self-published by the Pinis off and on as well as by Marvel Comics, DC Comics and Dark Horse Comics. Offered here is 9x12" sheet of textured Canson art paper bearing pastel original art by Wendy Pini, featuring the Sun Folks Elf character Shenshen. This convention portrait was created at the 1979 San Diego Comic-Con, held at the San Diego Convention Center, U.S. Grant Hotel. Pini has signed and dated art at lower right. Sheet has some lt. handling wear, but art remains clean and Exc. Elfquest original art by Pini rarely comes to market as the Pinis donated their archives to Columbia University's permanent collection.
