Item Description
Large 22.5x29.5" artboard w/pen and ink original art for Dec. 4, 1932 Sunday page that has been nicely hand-colored. Sunday page features total of 10 panels, including hand-lettered/colored title panel listing noted "Tailspin Tommy" artist Hal Forrest and writer Glenn Chaffin. Second panel features "Progress Of Flight - Early Birds" feature while main story deals w/Tailspin Tommy attempting to stop an attack on an Arctic-bound airship (seen in first panel). Tommy is featured in five panels and airship/airplanes are featured in every panel. Forrest has signed last panel. Back has large areas of glue staining at corners as once mounted, but this does not affect front's display. Artboard has some handling wear w/some penciling and wear along margins, but art remains clean and would make for Exc. matted and framed display.
