10.5x15.5" thin DC comic art board featuring original pencil art by noted comic book artist Curt Swan (1920-1996), best known as the artist most associated w/Superman titles during the period fans and historians call the Silver Age of comic books. Swan produced hundreds of covers and stories from the 1950s through the 1980s. Offered here is the original art for page 1 of "Action Comics" #480, published by DC Comics in February 1978. Issue was written by Cary Bates w/interior art by Curt Swan and inks by Frank Chiaramonte. Storyline "Amazo's Big Breakthrough". Opening title semi-splash page shows Superman in the Justice League Satellite when Amazo's giant fist punches up through floor. DC copyright stamp on back as well as some practice lettering. Scattered handling wear/aging. Superman stat at top. Indicia taped on bottom of page. Signed by Curt Swan. VF.
