Item Description
10.75x16" comic artboard has pencil original art by Don Newton and inks by Abel/Rubenstein. Published by Marvel September 1979. Art is for Avengers Annual #9 page 22 from the story "Today The Avengers Die!" by Bill Mantlo. The five panel page shows The Beast and Hawkeye captured by Arsenal and the computer Mistress and being strapped to a table for a brain-probe. This story precedes Avengers #189 story featuring Hawkeye (see lot #1120 for original art from that issue). Marvel ©1979 stamp on back. Lt. aging/handling wear. Aged tape at top and bottom. Upper left corner trimmed. Overall VF.
