10.5x15.5" thin DC comic art board featuring original pencil art by noted comic book artist Kurt Schaffenberger (1920-2002), best known as the artist on Fawcett's Captain Marvel title and in the 1950s moved onto the Superman Family of titles at DC for 30 years. Offered here is the original art for page 1 of "Action Comics" #575, published by DC Comics in January 1986. Issue was written by Joey Cavalieri w/interior art by Kurt Schaffenberger and inks by Dave Hunt. Storyline "The Great Brain Robbery". Opening title semi-splash page shows Intellix and Eyegore watching Superman on a video screen while plotting to collect his brain. DC copyright stamp on back. Scattered handling wear/aging. A few small stain spots and trimmed corners. Indicia stat on bottom of page. VF.
