Item Description
Pair of 10x12" animation sheets featuring pencil original art sketches by caricaturist T. Hee, who was brought in from Warner Brothers to design some of the characters from 1938 Silly Symphony featuring caricatures of many Hollywood celebrities of the day. Thornton "T." Hee (1911-1988) was an animator, writer and director. First sheet has 2.5x3-1/8" image area depicting Edward G. Robinson. Second sheet has 4.5x6.25" image area showing Clark Gable, w/extra emphasis on his famous ears. Both have been signed "T. Hee." Some scattered aging/handling but art remains VF/Exc. These concept sketches are much rarer that used production drawings.
