Item Description
11.5x16.5" artboard has pen and ink original art for page 47 of Batman Adventures Annual #1, published by DC Comics Nov. 1994. Art features six panels, w/pencil art by John Byrne and inks by Rick Burchett. From Paul Dini's Laughter After Midnight story, Joker is believed dead after his latest battle w/Batman, and is wandering the streets of late-night Gotham. Art shows his recollection of past events, where he sees his reflection in a window just before Batman punches him in the face and an attack against Batman inside a GPD airship. Last two panels show him holding his bruised face, stating "Ow! That's Going To Hurt In The Morning." before bursting into laughter in last panel. Laughter sound effects in last panel are cut-out pasted stat. Joker appears in every panel; Batman (or parts of Batman) appear in three panels. Back has DC Comics copyright inkstamp. Top margin has inked title and page number (art has published "3" as page number, referencing page number in this story). Exc. and comes w/mat for display purposes.
