Item Description
12.25x12.75" frame contains pen and ink and airbrushed original art for 1940s that has been matted to 7x7.5". Art was created for Quality Art Novelty Co. line of Superman greeting cards, © Superman, Inc. 1940s. Art depicts Superman from thighs up, birthday boy seated on his shoulders while eating birthday cake. There has been some speculation that the Superman image was drawn by Golden Age comic artist Fred Ray, but as unsigned, this is up for debate. Rest of art was done by a different uncredited artist.
