Item Description
10-1/8x14.25" artboard has pen and ink original art for "The Styles Of Medieval Armor" pin-up that appeared on page 25 of The Adventures Of Robin Hood #8, published by Magazine Enterprises Nov. 1957. Art is by Frank Bolle (1924-2020), a comic strip/comic book artist best known as the longtime artist of the newspaper strips Winnie Winkle and The Heart Of Juliet Jones as well as for stints on Tim Holt and Doctor Solar, Man Of The Atom comic books. Art shows four different armored warriors, showing the evolution of Medieval Armor from the 11th century through the 16th century. Inked title abbreviation and issue/page number at top margin w/penciled artist name. Tiny spot of staining on shield design at upper right, o/w art remains clean and Exc.
