Item Description
14.25x22.25" twice up comic illustration art board w/six panels featuring Captain Atom fighting the Ghost and appearance of the Women of Sunuria. 12x18" image area. One panel features the Ghost revealing his identity to Captain Atom. The story was intended to be printed for Charlton's Captain Atom issue #90 however the title ended with issue #89 December 1967. Ditko had completed the pencils in 1967 for this story. The story would ultimately surface in 1975's Charlton Bullseye Vol. 1 issue #2 and finally be put in print in black and white. The story "Two Against Sunuria" was written by Roger Stern. Art by Steve Ditko in 1967 (graphite pencil) w/inks and lettering by John Byrne at the start of his career in 1975. This is page 3 of this issue's storyline. Faint pencil notations in borders, one of which says to alter panel to not reveal Ghost identity which was ultimately ignored. Lt. aging/handling wear. A few minor stains on back. Displays VF.
