Item Description
Approx. 5.75x16.5" artboard has pen and ink original art for Jan. 20, 1981 daily strip by Alan Kupperberg. Art features three panels, showing Conan the Barbarian issuing challenge to inhabitants of city, who are amazed to see him survive the bites of several snakes (bloody bites can be seen on Conan's body). Conan appears in all three panels, including great image of him brandishing his sword in last panel. Top margin has title and "By Marvel Comics" stat paste-overs and last panel has writer Doug Moench and Kupperberg's names paste-over. Conan Properties Inc. copyright strip between second and third panels. Top and right margins have been trimmed and are uneven. Art remains clean and Exc.
