Item Description
14.25x20" stiff paper poster for Oct. 8, 1966 concert that took place at Mt. Tamaipais Outdoor Theater in Marin County, CA. This first version poster advertises Bola Sete, The Grateful Dead and Quicksilver Messenger Service as musical performers at this event promoting the write-in campaign to elect Phil Drath to Congress. This lineup was later changed, w/Joan Baez replacing Bola Sete, resulting in an updated poster. This first version features a charming image of Winnie the Pooh and Piglet (w/small Pooh images at corners) by Stanley Mouse. Poster has two staple pulls at top center and .5" staple pull just below the feet of central Pooh image. Bottom center also has a staple pull, w/.25" piece missing from margin. Scattered handling wear and aging. VG overall. Rare.
