Large, nice quality 23-3/8x27" double-mat w/acetate cover contains 16x20" artboard w/impressive mixed media original art portrait of longtime Detroit Tigers (1963-1977) Willie Horton, a four-time All-Star and 1968 World Series champ. Detroit retired his number 23 in 2000. Art was created by Doug West, a renowned sports artist who has done extensive work for MLB, NFL, NHL and more. West has depicted Horton at bat in Tigers uniform. West has signed art at lower right. Prior owner of art had Horton personally sign art in blue felt tip pen at lower left, Horton adding "Best Wishes From" inscription. Horton's signature measures 4.5" wide. NM and ready for framing. An extremely impressive and truly one-of-a-kind piece. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA COA.
