Item Description
1950s prototype presentation created for shirt company. Nice quality size 10 "Rob Roy Sakana Rayon Broadcloth" long-sleeved shirt remains pinned to cardboard backing as issued. Front has four original art prototype patches attached for display, each done in pen and ink watercolor/tempera paint. Each is about 3x4" on stiff paper and features Dick Tracy, Little Orphan Annie, Skeezix, Harold Teen and Shadow. Top center of Skeezix has a .5" hairline tear but as attached to shirt and only noticeable when viewed closely. Annie bkg. has some scattered tan aging from glue, but this does not distract greatly. Overall entire item retains bright and fresh appearance and as never removed from the card, appearance is of that of original store stock. Exc. Unique and among the neatest prototypes we have offered from the Gold Archives. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold and comes with LOA.
