Item Description
Immense and impressive 49.5x61.5" by 3" deep custom cherry wood frame houses acrylic on canvas original art by artist Nicole Petrillo, who has been a painter and muralist for over 20 years since receiving her degree and is now creating individual paintings which capture the beautiful artwork and packaging of the classic toys from years gone by. Petrillo's art faithfully recreates and pays homage to the front panel image from King-Seeley's iconic 1967 "Superman" metal lunchbox. Classic scene depicts Superman in flight w/the city of Metropolis in bkg. Featuring the same striking color palette as used on the original lunchbox, this presents a visually powerful piece and makes for a one-of-a-kind collectible. NM and ready for display. Created July 2020 and signed by the artist on wooden support bracket on back, this original art would easily become the centerpiece of any Superman collection. This painting was done exclusively for Hake's Auctions and is never to be duplicated by the artist. Due to size of this item, shipping charges may be substantial. Please contact us w/any shipping inquiries prior to close of auction. Comes w/Certificate of Origin/Authenticity from the artist.
