Item Description
10.5x15.75" artboard has pencil original art by Kurt Schaffenberger that has been inked by Dave Hunt. Art is for page 13 of "The New Adventures Of Superboy" #9, published by DC Comics Sept. 1980. Page features four panels, w/Superboy flying away from Phantom Zone inmates, his fellow Kryptonians Jax-Ur, General Zod and Faora in order to stop an avalanche. Working w/haste, Superboy accidentally creates a raging flood by melting the avalanche's snow. Superboy appears in all but last panel. Schaffenberger has neatly inscribed "To Jerry Redlich - Best Wishes From Schaffenberger" in black ink in second panel. Top margin has inked "SBoy" title abbreviation, date and issue/page numbers. Top right corner has been clipped. Staple holes at each corner. Back has DC Comics copyright inkstamp. Art remains clean and Exc.
