Item Description
10.5x15.75" artboard has pen and ink original art by Jim Mooney, inked by Bob Layton. Art is for page 4 of "Marvel Team-Up" Vol. 1 #72, published by Marvel Aug. 1978. Page features four panels, showing Spider-Man reeling after having been shot w/drugged bullets. He flips over criminals' getaway vehicle before feeling the effects of the drugs, allowing the criminals to get away w/their stolen furs. Spider-Man appears in every panel, including Spider Sense going off in last panel. Top margin has crossed out "Amazing Spider-Man" stamped title and inked issue/page numbers. Top/bottom margins appear to have slight trim and top corners have been clipped, neither affecting art in any way. Mooney has signed top right margin in black ink, adding personalized inscription. Page number and continuation paste-overs at bottom margins. Back has preliminary Spider-Man sketch in blue pencil and Marvel copyright inkstamp. Aged strips of tape at top/bottom margins. Artboard has some handling wear and even aging but art remains clean and Exc.
