Item Description
"Harrow County" is a southern gothic horror comic series published by Dark Horse Comics from 2015 to 2018. Created by writer Cullen Bunn ("The Sixth Gun") and artist Tyler Crook ("B.R.P.D."), the story is set in the 1930s and features a young woman named Emmy discovering her connection to a local witch and that the wilderness surrounding her home in Harrow County is filled w/all manner of creepy and ghoulish creatures. Of particular note is the The Tattered Skin, the sentient skin of a boy whom Emmy carries around w/her after discovering it bloodied and discarded upon the brambles in the woods. 11x17" artboard features stunning watercolor original art by Crook, which was used as the cover for "Harrow County" #1, May 2015. Cover features The Tattered Skin peeking out of the opened bottom drawer of Emmy's wardrobe, his hand creeping out and crawling over rug. Crook's initials at lower right. Exc. In addition to being published as the cover to the first issue, this art was also featured as the cover art to the first two editions of the "Harrow County"  Vol. 1 trade paperback "Countless Haints" and will be featured as the cover to the upcoming "Harrow County Omnibus One" collection. Stunning and eerie original art that was published for the very first issue of this modern horror classic.
