Item Description
13-7/8x21-7/8" artboard has pen and ink original art for unpublished "Green Lantern" comic page. Art features six panels, showing Golden Age Green Lantern pursuing skywriting plane piloted by Green Lantern's nemesis (and later wife) Harlequin, who escapes through trap door in bottom of plane. Green Lantern appears in all six panels, though only fully inked in three panels. Four panels have art either fully or partially inked, w/last two having pencil art. Additionally, each panel has full handwritten story/dialog text in pencil. Art is by Paul Reinman (1910-1988), an American comic book artist best known as one of Jack Kirby's frequent inkers during the Silver Age. While artboard has evenly aged, art remains bright and clean. 1x1.5" credit box in second panel has surface paper lift, but art o/w remains VF w/just some scattered age spotting. Bottom margin has some pencil notations while top left has "Unproduced - Golden Age Art" pencil notation. Back of artboard has additional six panels of inked/uninked art for unrelated teen comic character story (not Green Lantern-related).
