Item Description
13.5x20.75" artboard has pen and ink original art by Jack Kirby (inked by Dick Ayers) for page 19 of "Kid Colt" #95, published by Marvel Dec. 1960. Art is from "A Man And His Gun!" back-up Western story and features six panels showing peaceful Ben being harassed by the Collins Brothers (who arrive wearing bandit-style bandanas) on horseback, trying to prove a bet that Ben did in fact carry a gun despite his claims to the contrary. Ben once again professes his distaste for "Gun-Fightin'," which causes one of the Collins' to call him a coward. Top left margin has abbreviated "K. Colt" title and issue/page number in black ink. Larger page number at bottom right beside Ayers blue felt tip pen signature and added "2000" date. Artboard has some outlines of tape staining affecting bottom two panels and bottom margin, but o/w art remains clean and VF. Partial Comics Magazine Code Authority approval stamp on back.
