Item Description
Lot of six approx. 6x17-3/8" thin artboards w/pen and ink original art for March 20-25, 1961 "Richest Robot" daily strip storyline. Art is by Dan Barry (who had illustrated the "Flash Gordon" daily strip since 1951 and worked on the Sunday page from 1967-1990) and all but one strip features three panels (another has just two). Printed "Richest Robot" sequence title at top of each along w/"Week 2" notations and dates. Story deals w/Robb & Bey discovering Waldo is in fact a robot burying his creator. Still fearing hallucinations, Robb and Bey take possession of Waldo and make plans for getting off moon. All but first two artboards have aged screentone accents. Each daily strip complete w/KFS copyright strip and a few have scattered production notations in margins and paste-over text corrections. Pin holes at top corners and along top margin w/scattered aging/dust soiling. Artboards are Fine to VF overall w/art remaining clean and VF to Exc. Nice full week of daily strip original art.
