Whitman No. 1130, ©1959 H-B Enterprises, Inc. One of the first pieces of Huckleberry Hound merchandise produced, lot includes full set of original art for this coloring book, including cover (front/back cover featuring same image) and all 128 pages. Art features a wonderful assortment of images and themes and in addition to Huckleberry Hound, features Hanna-Barbera characters seen on the cover - Yogi Bear, Boo Boo Bear, Jinks, Pixie and Dixie. 10.5x15" Oregon 9 artboard has 9.75x12" images area and comes w/acetate overlay w/hand-painted title/text. Top/bottom margins have some tape staining, but art remains clean and Exc. and would make for wonderful framed display w/overlay. Lot also includes 29 sheets, each w/four 7.5x9-5/8" artboards w/inked art and pasted state captions; some w/hand-lettered text on art. Art is uncredited. Top corners have been clipped, not affecting art, which remains Exc. Comes w/hand-painted sheet of vellum for title page and another sheet of vellum w/screentone accents, sheets for spine and production slips, etc. Varying conditions, VG to VF. Comes w/matching coloring book, which is a file copy w/page number notations and check marks at margins. VF/Exc. Extensive lot from the Western Printing Archives. Unique and as good as it gets for Hanna-Barbera merchandise art.
