Item Description
Three approx. 14.25x20.25" artboards have pen and ink original art by Bill Hudson and comprise complete "Scare Raid" story featuring Casper the Friendly Ghost. Art was published in "Little Audrey" #28 by Harvey in Feb. 1953. Art deals w/Casper being booted to the big city when he refuses to go on a scare raid w/the Fright-Mob, wanting instead to pick flowers. Upon his arrival in the city, Casper sees little girl trapped in burning building and rushes to save. He is quickly named a "City Hero" by the press and the city sets up a TV special for him, who the Fright-Mob see and decide to crash. Casper is on to them though and tells the audience that they're there to make them laugh, causing the Fright-Mob to flee. Last panel shows that Casper has been given the key to the city, which is naturally a skeleton key, complete w/skull. Each artboard has stamped title and inked issue/page numbers. Scattered blue pencil editorial notes at margins. First artboard has aged title stat and artboards have some scattered handling wear/aging and are Fine to VF overall w/Exc. art.
