Item Description
24.5x32.5 frame contains matted artboard featuring pen and ink original art by Disney artist John Ushler for Nov. 8, 1970 "The Aristocats" Sunday page, part of the "Walt Disney's Treasury Of Classic Tales" which was distributed in newspapers by King Features Syndicate from July 13, 1952 to Feb. 15, 1987. Each story adapted a different Disney film, and was principally a vehicle for promoting new and re-released Disney films. "The Aristocats" storyline ran Sept. 6 to Dec. 27, 1970. Art features 12 panels, w/title panel being stat paste-over. Art features Thomas O'Malley, Duchess and their three kittens - Toulouse, Marie and Berlioz traveling, first being kicked out of dairy truck and then walking along elevated train tracks until train comes along and they have to scramble below. Seventh panel has KFS distribution strip while ninth panel has Disney copyright strip. Tenth panel has .5x1" area of staining, o/w art remains clean. Fine/VF as framed.
